A Bachelor in Production Engineering from VJTI of 1983 batch, I have done post-graduation in International Marketing and Finance from International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi, which is affiliated with Institute of Management Development (IMD), Geneva.

I was a member of Indirect Taxation Committee of Association of India Automobile Manufacturers (AIAM), Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) while working at Mahindra & Mahindra.

I was associated with M/s. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) from 1983 to 2006 & worked in various sectors. Began on the shop floor while in the farm equipment sector(FES) and after completing my Post graduation was inducted in corporate affairs. I was core team member on various assignments including “Mahindra Ford” joint venture & merger of “Allwyn Nissan with Mahindra & Mahindra”. I was then moved back to Farm Equipment Sector as Head of International Marketing (Farm Equipment’s) other than Mahindra U.S.A. Post that I was again transferred to Trade & Financial Services sector where I successfully established the first plant of Mahindra steel service center in U.A.E. My last assignment at M & M was in “Systems & Technology” sector before I decided to join M/s. Schuler India Pvt. Ltd a subsidiary of world leader M/S Schuler GmBh in metal forming technology as Vice President Sales & Marketing for South East Asian market from October 2006 to 2008.

I, then joined Ador Welding Ltd in 2008 as COO & was holding the position of Managing Director till Sept 7, 2020 at Ador Welding Limited since May 2012. I participated in “Kellogg’s Global advance Management program” organized by ISB and Kellogg’s school of Management, Chicago, USA. Along with this I was also holding the honorary post of Secretary to Association of Welding Products Manufacturers (AWPM) which promotes safety practices within the industry and Skill development for the Industry. In addition, the Association takes up all issues faced by the welding Industry through CII with various Govt. departments. I was also Chairman of ‘Ador Welding Academy’ (AWA) which is engaged in skill development and Research & Development in welding processes. AWA is also engaged in skilling of girls and boys from the BPL and employ them. AWA has imparted skills to over 500 such girls and boys in last 3 years and employed them.

I was awarded with “CEO with HR Orientation” award by Global HR Congress for the year 2018 and also “India’s most trusted CEO” award by World Consulting & Research Corporation for trendsetter of the year 2018. Recently in 2019 was awarded as “CEO of the year” by Messe India and BDO. I was also appointed by CII as a chairman of the core group on “welding Technology” for spearheading various initiatives related to welding Industry in India. Similarly, I received the “Most trusted CEO of Asia” award by International Brand Consulting, USA during Dec 2019 at Bangkok. Lastly, in January 2020 was awarded “Business Leader of the year 2019” by ET Now.

I am married to Sushama Bhat, an Electronic Engineer & have three children Neha, Shweta & Hrushikesh. Back in my early days I was a sportsman & even represented my college for various sports. I am passionate about watching sports like Cricket, Hockey, Tennis and Soccer in my free time and I also enjoy listening to music & love exploring new places with my family & friends. I am also a hands-on grandfather to my grandson, Arhav.
